The L35 Foundation turns the lessons learned from Lt. Bryon Johnson’s line-of-duty death into action, supporting firefighters through training, education, advocacy, in an effort to build a stronger fire-service community.
Supporting Firefighter Training
We help remove financial barriers that can prevent firefighters from pursuing valuable professional training. By raising funds to offset training-related costs, L35 helps firefighters access opportunities that strengthen their knowledge, skills, and ability to serve their communities safely.
Sharing Lessons That Save Lives
Through presentations to fire departments, EMS organizations, conferences, firefighter families, and other public-safety groups, we share Bryon’s story and the lessons surrounding his line-of-duty death. These conversations emphasize situational awareness, avoiding complacency, continual training, and the importance of firefighters’ physical and mental well-being.
Raising Funds With Purpose
Fundraising makes our mission possible. Events such as the L35 Foundation Golf Tournament bring firefighters, supporters, businesses, and community members together while generating funds that help expand access to firefighter training and advance our safety mission.
